We truly appreciated being able to check in early as we had come from the cruise ship that docked in Rotterdam.
Linda and her staff at the front desk were so helpful at getting 4 tired travellers booked in. Linda was very helpful in giving us directions to the train and how to get to Rotterdam central.

What I liked more beside the location, was the kindness of the host. The guy was very kind and was the added value. I did not try the breakfast as I left very early in the morning. The room was clean and spacious.

Excellent location, five minutes' walk from the Metro, and only a few stops to Rotterdam Centraal for trains to Amsterdam, Schipol etc. Really cool old building which has been extensively modernised and has a food hall attached! We had an executive double room which had loads of space and a terrace, although the weather wasn't really amenable to using it, unfortunately. HUGE bed though which we loved. Breakfast was amazing, having stayed at the Room Mate in Barcelona, our expectations were high, but the selection and quality was brilliant. Bonus points for a great TV which had working Chromecast :)

The public facilities are amazing!! There are places to do focused work, interact with other travellers, play games or even just seat and be quiet. The breakfast had few options, but they were enough because they were all really great!

Boasting Europe's biggest port, Rotterdam mixes typical old canals with 21st century architecture. Home to a multicultural society due to it's international trade, this city also houses important cultural institutions like the Erasmus University and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Including bustling terraces and exotic restaurants, Rotterdam resembles a global bazaar!

I have been to Rotterdam many times and regard it as one of Europe's most interesting and go-ahead cities. The transformation of the inner city and harbour areas has been miraculous. A large proportion of the cars has been removed and replaced with world-class public transport. Stunning buildings punctuate the skyline, including the epic Centraal Station, the Markthal and De Rotterdam. Make sure you use the extraordinary river taxi service (download the app) and the lovely river bus service to Dordrecht. Oh and visit the pinball museum at Delfshaven - one of my favourite spots.

Great city to see a whole lot of weird (but really cool!!)
Great city to see a whole lot of weird (but really cool!!) architecture! Also really enjoyed eating in the Market Hall because there are a lot of good options and it's great to walk around the city and get to know coffee places. But at night we went all the day to eat in the Fenix Food Factory and it was really not worth it... Instead, if you enjoy a good ramen, I REAAALLY recommend Hinoki Noodle Soup! Great great food!

We just went for a short break via P&O ferry hull, transfer time to main railway station in the city by coach approximately 40 minutes. We spent the first day in Rotterdam when we arrived, not really into museums but there seems to be places to see, more the atmosphere and a wander, have a drink and food, there are plenty of places to eat, we went to bar Bokal, near the hotel which had a good atmosphere, not really a restaurant but good beer and burgers etc which we enjoyed, then usually move on which suited us well. The metro 1 hotel is in an excellent location and very near the metro station which we took for a day to visit Delft which is quite a small historic town but good for a look around, it's totally opposite to the modern Rotterdam. All in all an enjoyable trip for a couple of days which suited us, however if you're interested in museums and culture you may want to stay a bit longer. If you did want to venture further afield the rail system is excellent.

Having never been to Rotterdam we (my wife and I) were overwhelmed by the trams, the buildings the people and the atmosphere - it was electric. The museums were unbelievable (although unlike the UK you had to pay -but never mind it was worth it) The restaurants - what can I say -to die for.

What a great city, so much modern arquitecture of mouth-watering quality. Streets and squares designed with people in mind. And don’t forget to visit a home game of the top flight soccer team Feyenoord in their magical stadium de Kuip.
The property was really uncomplicated, concerning finding public transport or the market. There was this one really kind woman belonging to the front desk staff who was overly kind and helpful towards us, gave us all kind of tips about the city so delightful, they where all very efficient, additionally the breakfast was exquisite. Overall exceeded my expectations, never slept in such a comfortable bed for a long time. Everytime we came back to the hotel, the bed was made ugh, would totally recommend it to anyone who visits Rotterdam!!
Loved the comfortable beds, excellent shower and very quiet room. Breakfast was really good both mornings (including Sunday brunch). Despite being very busy, staff were friendly and efficient. The location of this hotel is outstanding for anyone wanting to be a convenient walk from the Centrum area (about 15 minutes max) and Centraal train station (literally steps across the plaza). It made our transit to and from Schipol a breeze. No need for a car.
I must start by writing that I looooooove Rotterdam and this hotel was the perfect accommodation.
It's right up in the city center, minutes away by walking from Markethall, the Cubic Houses, The Central Train Station, the Erasmus Bridge and so on.
The room was very clean and the bed comfy and I loved the vetiver shower gel and hand soap (it's my favourite flavour) :D
The staff was beyond friendly and helpful.
Very modern and comfortable hotel. The rooms look small but they're quite comfortable thanks to their smart design. The staff is amazing and the lobby/common area is also very pleasant to spend time. Also, the location is very central and accessible for public transportation. Overall, I've been travelling to Rotterdam almost weekly for work and this hotel is my preferred place.
Quite a pleasant and well-maintained hotel. The room is very spacious, and the Wi-Fi is consistently stable. While the hotel is not in the city center, its location is excellent considering Rotterdam is a small, highly cyclable city with excellent transportation services. It's a great choice to escape the hustle and bustle of the center. The surroundings are calm and safe.
Strategically located in the heart of Rotterdam, this family owned boutique hotel is a real gem. It was wonderfully refurbished with a great taste and effort but it has an interesting story as well, being the place where Mr. Pincoff had his office and his vault. The rooms are voluminous and very luxurious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dank u!
Amazing place to stay in Rotterdam. Very well located in the center of the city (Beurs). Everything is walking distance, and it's very close to an Albert Hein (supermarket) where you can get groceries for breakfast, dinner or appetizers. The apartments are well equipped and the views are stunning. They have paid parking and welcome coffee.
My son and I LOVED our stay at Savoy Rotterdam. We travel often and spend time in a lot of different hotels. But this was one of the best so far. Beds were veryyy comfortable, service was very good and friendly, breakfast was good. The hotel is very close to parking and walking distance to the center of the city (markthal, shopping,...).
location was perfect near to centrum, good security, lots of restaurants in the same street as the hotel
staff was extremely friendly and available 24/7
Hubs were very clean, cozy and comfortable
bathroom was clean and the water for the shower is always hot
i will absolutely book this hotel again for my next visit to Rotterdam
It is a reasonably priced hotel located at the heart of Rotterdam. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast served (included in the price) is quite good. The staffs at the reception are friendly. We noticed customers were helped in Dutch, English, French and German language.
The James hotel is very well located and near the main tourist attractions of Rotterdam. This was very nice as it was our first time visiting this city. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We would recommend a stay at the James hotel when visiting Rotterdam.
I liked the hotel in general
Quite place
Brillant staff
Comftable room
Good location in the city centre, just 10 minutes walk to Rotterdam train station.
Alot of restaurants, bars and various shops in the vicinity of the hotel
Would highly reccomand it and will definitly be back
The hotel is in a good position, very near to the central station and from it is possible to walk to the city centrum in about 15 minutes. The price is high for the offer, but lower compared to the average in the Netherlands. The breakfast was acceptable.
Brilliant hotel, didn't even need to go into Rotterdam proper. Food court connected downstairs with bar, table tennis and 10+ different cuisines. Spent the time in that area for the most part, didn't see much of Rotterdam, no regrets.
Great little hotel, just 10 minutes of walking from the Rotterdam Central Station. It's located on a quiet street so that was also very appreciated.
As a note, if you need a hair dryer, you can get one from the reception!
A real boutique hotel, located in the city centre of Rotterdam. Great location, but without the touristic vibe and atmosphere. They also serve great coffee and pastries at their coffee / giftshop downstairs.
